The question I’m wondering about is that some scientists say that hair dyes will prevent ghusl and ablution because they contain a dirty substance, such as insect blood, that can hinder prayer. In addition, he claims that it may contain substances such as glue and silicone, which will stick to the hair strand and scalp and prevent water from passing through. Some scientists say that hair dyes give colour just like henna and that there is no disability in performing ghusl and ablution. Who should I believe in this situation? I’m thinking of dying my hair blonde, but I can’t dye it because I’m not sure, so I feel uneasy. Let’s say hair dyes prevent ghusl and we made a mistake and dyed them, will our prayers and worship be invalid in the sight of Allah? This is a terrible thing. For the sake of Allah, write me the most correct fatwa. I want to dye my hair blonde, but I do not know the ingredients of the dye I will use. Hair dye should not separate me from God, it will destroy me, I do not want to worship my Lord all the time, by the way, I do not wear a headscarf, I know this is wrong, foreign men will see my dyed hair, but I will also worship, I know it is a sin. So tell me if all types of hair dyes permissible? Thank you in advance

Our response to your query is as follows:
When it comes to hair dye, then it will be permissible to use as long as it’s not done to resemble the disbelievers, and the ingredients are not impure and will not form a coating on the hair that will prevent water getting through. So, it will be permissible to use hair dyes made out of chemicals, but you should do research into which hair dyes are porous and will not form a coating on the hair.
Leaving the hair uncovered is a major sin. Therefore, fear Allah Ta`ala as leaving the hair uncovered when leaving the home will lead to severe punishment in the Akhirah.
Our humble advice to you O sister in Islam is to cover your hair when leaving the home and when appearing in front of non-mahram men, as this is following the command of Allah Ta’ala and it will make Allah Ta’ala happy.

وَعَنْ الْإِمَامِ أَنَّ الْخِضَابَ حَسَنٌ لَكِنْ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتْمِ وَالْوَسْمَةِ وَأَرَادَ بِهِ اللِّحْيَةَ وَشَعْرَ الرَّأْسِ وَالْخِضَابُ فِي غَيْرِ حَالِ الْحَرْبِ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ فِي الْأَصَحِّ كَذَا فِي الْوَجِيزِ لِلْكَرْدَرِيِّ.
