Message from the Respected Founder and Principal, Hadhrat Mufti Yacoob Vally Sahib
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
We were very fortunate to host our Ustaadh-e-Muhtaram, Hadhrat Moulana Abrar Ahmed Sayyid Dhulyawi رحمه الله تعالي in our small town called Harding. After a very cold wintery night, Hadhrat Moulana walked from my father’s house to the corner of Hancock Street. Upon reaching this corner, he looked towards the ground with his head bowed, scratched the ground with his ‘Asaa (walking stick) and remained silent for a while.
A few months later,Allah Ta’ala through His Fadhal and Karam, showed me in a dream that I was erecting a Madrasah that looked very beautiful. Approximately six months thereafter, Marhoom Hajee Ismail Bellim رحمه الله تعالي and Haafidh Ayoob Bellim made Waqf of their house situated in Hancock street for the purpose of a Madrasah. My late father in law, Hadhrat Moulana Ali Adam Musa رحمه الله تعالي encouraged me to accept the offer and commence the Madrasah.
Subsequently, the Madrasah commenced in 1997 with 5 students in the Hifdh department, through the Fadhal of Allah Ta’ala. The official Iftitaah (Commencement of the Madrasah) took place on the auspicious hands of Ustaadhe Muhtaram, Shaikhul Hadith of Jalalabad, Hadhrat Moulana Yaseen Sahib رحمه الله تعالي. Upon the completion of a few students’ hifdh in 1998, the Aalim Faadhil course was then offered.
A few students enrolled and the Silsilah of Ta`leem and Ta`llum (Continuous chain of learning and imparting) thus commenced until the students completed Mishkaat Sharif (Penultimate Year). For Dawrah Hadith (Final Year), we used to send the students to the bigger Madaaris.
In 2012, after approximately 15 years of existence, upon the advice of the Akabireen and the encouragement of the Asaatiza, the Madrasah started to offer the final year. Alhamdulillah, Five students graduated in the first Bukhari Khatam which was chaired by our esteemed Ustaad of Bukhaari Sharif, Hadhrat Mufti Inayatullah Sahib دامت بركاته from England.
In the very same year in 2012, a second branch was established in Port Shepstone. In 2014, after consultation with the Akabireen and the Asaatiza, the Aalim class section was moved completely to Port Shepstone. Alhamdulillah, in 2017 we also added the Ifta course.
Hence , the Madrasah currently offers Hifdh, Qiraat, Aalim and Ifta courses.
In Harding, we still offer Hifdh, Maktab and basic elementary Ta`leem to reverted indigenous children.
Alhamdulillah, the Madrasah is located on a beautiful plot of land situated on 2 Boundary Road, Oslo Beach, Port Shepstone. We have a wonderful view overlooking the ocean. A Plot of land adjacent to the madrasah has been donated by Hajee Dawood Moosa Sahib.
Our intention is to build a Masjid and permanent facilities for students’ residence and classrooms for teaching.
We request your dua that Allah Ta’ala grants us sincerity, acceptance and salvation in the Aakhirah.
May He make this Madrasah a Markaz of Ilm and Tarbiyat, a fountain of Taqwa and a beacon of Hidayah that will spread to the four corners of the globe till the day of Qiyamah. (Ameen)
